Hello guys, how are you guys, I hope you guys are having a wonderful bank holiday. Did you have a great Easter? How did you spend your Easter Sunday. I hope you had some time to spend with the lord, talking to him about what he did, and what it means to you. The lord is so gracious, he is so good. I am so thankful that God sent Jesus Christ to not only die for us so we can have eternal life but to make us sons (children of God). My Easter weekend has been great so far. Friday I was out with the girls just getting ready for one of our friends wedding that will be in May this year. We needed to get measured for one of our outfits for her wedding which I am excited about. Saturday I stayed in and of course Sunday was awesome. We had such an amazing day in church, miracles took place, the choir was awesome, the word was heavy and I was changed. Pictures to follow below:
The word was incredible which is “we will not die but live for ever, because death has been abolished.
It was definitely life changing, there’s a lot of things I had to surrender to. I have been feeling like I had been in the flesh lately, and the lord reminded me that with him and his word I can be who he wants me to be, which is like Jesus. So, there’s was a lot purging and repenting I was doing, just devoting myself to the lord again in certain areas and I was just so desperate for him to help me and change me so that he is proud of me and so that I represent him well
After that I had little catch up time with my Sis Isabelle, talking about purpose, church service, the future and many more and that I came back home for some Easter lunch/dinner. So what did you do this Easter, how was it. I would love to hear about it, so feel free to send it through to me via email or Instagram.
So now, lets talk about the topic that I have been meaning to talk to you about for a long time. have you been having a rough time lately? Are you going through some stuff that are just coming out of nowhere. Do you feel overwhelmed by what God has called you to do? Well I am writing this blog out of what I have experienced thus far. The last couple of months have been rough, not necessarily because something major has happened but rather because I know that God wants to train me in this area so that I am equipped for the future and for what God has called me to be.
Now, one of the things that I have learned about myself is that I am a positive person. I love things to work, and I look for the good in things. Part of this is as a result of God’s training but my natural temperament is positive, so if I am not careful I can sometimes get overwhelmed when a situation is not aligning with how I think or see life. I also realised my way of seeing things is not the only way but other people have their own perspective on life so I need to be extra careful in not running away from trouble or negative situations because I see them as negative. Whether they are negative or not, I still need to be who God called me to be in a situation no matter what. I need to be able to be stable when bad or good things happen. it does not mean I did something wrong, it just means that I am equipped to handle it otherwise God wouldn’t allow it to come to me. Nothing has the capacity to destroy me or you, the devil does not have enough intelligence to wipe you out, or take you out. All you have to do is fight with the word of God, by using his word and knowing who you are and that is what I want show you. I want to show you who you are and where you are but first lets look at the scripture that shows us that we cannot be taken out by any situation if we focus on who we are, if we know our position in Christ and to also know that situations do not define us, but they are to refine us. He says to you and me in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that ”
“No temptation has seized you that isn’t common for people. But God is faithful. He won’t allow you to be tempted beyond your abilities. Instead, with the temptation, God will also supply a way out so that you will be able to endure it.”
I hope you saw that. You are in the lords hands, he has you and will give you the wisdom on how you can win in that situation. How does God supply a way out for us? He does that through his word, in prayer, and in his rhema word and in many ways. Since November of 2016- to now I have had a few challenges, personally and as a leader in for the teens church that has really helped me to grow more in understating Gods word. For example, on the morning of the “Future Generation 2016 programme” I not only had an argument with a member in my family; had someone criticizing me as a leader over the phone and having so much effort to defend myself that I got in to strife right before preaching to the teens. It was a shock for me to handle those situations and still feel like God has use me because I had started to believe that my life will just go great without those kind of challenges. I did not realise that those challenge served a purpose and with God he developed and continues to develop something in me which is inner strength.
I realised later that that was an act from the enemy because the was mad and bitter because the teens will be changed from that programme so he caused those around me to be used by him. The devil was trying to shut me up from becoming who I am in my purpose because we grow into who God wants us to be by doing what he told us to do. Had I forgotten really upset and cancelled the programme I would have forfeited my destiny. However, because I love God and I knew this programme was what he instructed me to do I had no other choice but to ask God to teach me how to handle such attacks that come from the enemy or from people.
Thank God the “Devil is a liar.” What I am trying to say? I am saying the devil does not bother too many people that aren’t doing anything, he bothers those that are making a difference for Christ. I am doing more for God now, I am in his divine will for my life, yet I have more challenges now than I have ever faced in my life, but the difference now is that I am growing inner muscles and inner strength to handle situations because I have a better understanding that I am created as an overcomer and nothing can destroy me if I am focused on who I am in Christ. Challenges will come, but you don’t have to be afraid of them like I had been a few months back. I realised now I was afraid of them because I did not feel like I had the strength, ability or wisdom to overcome the challenge but through the HOLY SPIRIT and Gods word I can and so can you.
And so are you my sis, my bro. You were created and have on the inside of the power to resist and overcome anything that comes your way. You will and can come out victorious, but what you and I need to do I to stay in alignment with Gods word and in prayer. To pray for discernment so that I am ready for the challenges that might come ahead in the future. Look at the following scripture in 1 John 4:4 NIV: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” I hope this scripture has encouraged you. First you are born of God, you have his DNA, you are his child and since you are created in the imagine of God and God does not fail, neither came you can. Second this scripture says you are an overcomer, which means you are a winner because the God on the inside of you is stronger, mightier than anything in this world. Furthermore, when situations come to the lord them align this his will because he has all the answers and 1 john 4:4 says that God, the one who is greater, the all knowing, all powerful God lives on the inside of you.
I have had this scripture preached to me for years, and I will be honest it never really touched me the way I knew it needed to. I knew it was a powerful because people around me, preachers and even church members would be so excited over this scripture, but praise God so can I now because I understand the depth and the power behind it. That means that no challenge or situation is too great, too evil, to big for the God who lives on the inside of you to handle. With God you can handle that situation. I know I keep saying it but it is because it is true. You are an overcomer in Christ Jesus and he wont let you down, but you have to hold his word dear to your heart. His word must be prominent and the first thing in your life especially when those challenges seem really big and come with a lot of fear. Speak the word of God to at situation and do let it distract you. Let me share another scripture with you before I share a few testimonies with you. Philippians 4:13 says: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I used to use this scripture for just my dreams and in doing the things that God called me to do but I can apply it to getting through challenges, to handling challenges that without trusting God I cannot handle it. However, because of this scripture I am stronger and I am learning to truly believe that nothing can destroy me although the devil tries to.
So what is your situation? what are you going through? have you given it to God? do you know that you don’t have to worry about that situation but if you trust God with it all is well. I think too many of us truly want things to change or work out and they will even if that working out is not done in the way we though best, but if we trust God he will cause “All things to work out for our good because we love him, and are moving according to this purpose that he has for us”(Romans 8:28). So I know it feels hard, it seems impossible but don’t let people or the devil deceive you, you will get through it to other side VICTORIOUSLY. I know it hurts, I know your heart is broken, I know they have betrayed you, I know they have lied about you, I know they are talking about you behind your back, but stay focused, and allow God to heal and to strengthen you. God never said you wont go through the fire, but he said he will be with us when we go through fire, the water, the wind and the difficult situations. In Isaiah 43:2-4, God himself says tells us the following:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.”
Isn’t this scripture so beautiful? God is so loving and amazing. God has you covered, I know it does not feel like it but its true, He has you because he knows your end from the beginning, he loves you and has destined you for a great life. I can testify to this because even in preparation for the “All In Conference 2017” programme we had last week came with many challenges. It was a success but it came with more challenges but I can say I was more prepared for it than the one we had in November 2016.
For example, paying for the venue. Now, I could’ve chosen a venue that was probably cheaper but it was not excellent and I have vision for the teens church and that is for them to know that they are created to amazing things for God in excellent conditions, but God did indeed provide money for the venue, the hotel room, the food and the snacks for the guests, and the travel. God Provided everything but it was not easy, I had to have faith at all times, I had to rebuke the devil several times of his lies that the programme will not be a success.
Furthermore, I am working with teenagers meaning that they have a certain way of thinking and on how they want things to be done. Some of them like myself are new to ministry work so they were clashes of personalities on both sides on the day and on the journey towards the programme. Strife could have started if I did not shut it down, or realise what was happening, we needed transport for the equipment, transport for the food to be delivered to the hotel, some people that were going to come changed the mind last minute and so on and so on. I had to learn to keep moving forward no matter what by trusting God in believing that there is an answer to every situation I find myself with if I seek God to help me figure it out. I believe some challenges came to me specifically to train me in this area I am discussing right now. So what we need is to have a mindset of an OVERCOMER because that is who you were created to be, it is who you are and that challenge is coming to you because you have the answer.
They were times when I was overwhelmed, tired, overworked and probably over planned but God got me through it.. I learned that with some things we just need to go through them to the other side so we learn more and share the victory with others. Because I hate conflict, if I am not careful I will avoid it or run away from it when it sometimes it needs to be addressed, so God reminded me of these scriptures I have described above so that I can deal with things in my life. He is growing my muscles so that I am strong and equipped to do what he called me to do whether or not I have challenges or not.
So, how have I dealt with challenges at work, challenges with my family, my friends, my role as a leader, even with myself? I wake up planning on spending time with God, asking him to help handle the challenges that are coming my way. I study and mediate in that area and I focus on that scripture that he has given me that day for the whole day and week and as God is my witness, my days are getting better and better. I am stronger and feel more equipped because I have certain scriptures on the inside of me that I need and use to remember my identity and my strength. So this comes from your personal relationship with God,
knowing that God loves you, he will equip you and with him you will win in every situation. So along with knowing who you are, spending time with God regularly is a big factor in my life and other peoples lives in order to be a success, because he will prepare you for the day. God showed me a lovely scripture that I think you can pray every morning to help you handle whatever comes your way. Its a beautiful scripture from the spirit in Ephesians 3:16-17 saying: “May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love”
So, I hope this has helped you and equipped you. I could say more and share more but I hope this blog has helped you so far. I will also be doing a video blog on this as well. So let me leave with Romans 8:31-37 NIV to strengthen you and to encourage. Remember you cannot be destroyed as long as you know your identity, God and his word.
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I love you
