Good day everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic day in the sun and in the lord or in whatever it is that you are doing. I know that I have not blogged in a while but I finally have a day off to write a blog and I am excited to share something with you. Over the last couple of days, the lord has been teaching me a lot on this concept of enjoying life no matter what, not being afraid of being happy, or afraid that something bad is going to happen. Some of us; we’re used to bad things happening to us from the past that we become skeptical of the good things or other times maybe things have not worked out before we gave our lives to the lord that we carry a lot of that mentality with us but God is not that way. His ways are not our ways, his ways are better; they are higher than our ways. God’s way brings you joy, bring you wisdom, happiness, blessings and many more. The life that God has for us is a great life, it’s a good life.
Jesus says in John 10:10 that “the thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” Did you see that? That life that we had before Christ was a life where something was always taken away from us, where we always felt empty, where a lot of areas in our lives are either dead or they were dying. For some of us our lives before Christ were a mess because the enemy wanted to destroy our lives from our thoughts, our relationships, to our health and many more but as we see in John 10:10, Jesus came to give us a good life, an excellent life and a good life involves joy and success to success. Jesus shows us here that a good life is what we deserve, it is what belongs to us, and it is our destiny. So, my sister and my brother, you are created for a great life, a life where success in every area of your life is destiny. So we don’t need to fear the future because we have Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in our lives to get us through every area of your lives.
I am not saying that things won’t happen, but what I am saying is that with God in your lives, and by living on his word, and placing full confidence in what he says, means that our lives will always work out. It means we can always come out on top of everything that might happen to us. You see, I am not saying that bad things don’t happen, because they do, but with God on our side we will always be joyful in lord in the midst of the storm, we will always come out victorious because that’s our path, not of failure or defeat. So what are you scared of? What are you worried about that might not happen? Whatever it is why don’t you give it to God, why don’t you search his word and find out what he says about you and your situation? For example, God tells us in Isaiah 43:4 that…“Because you are precious in My sight and honoured, and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life.” God loves you, he wants the best for you, and you are his precious one, his masterpiece. He wants to honour you, to help you because you are his child, his most prized possession and he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you. God is on your side and the devil is not. So, whose side are you going to believe? Fear, worry and anxiety please the devil because he uses that negative faith that is coming out of you to produce those things you are actually worried about.
Someone of you reading this are questioning this blog thinking I am realistic. You see that’s the mentality right there that gets us into trouble. Why do we want to reject something that is so good for us? Something, that if we try it; we know that it I will work? Sometimes the Gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple that we miss it, or we find it hard to believe. Let me show you another scripture that will blow you away. Proverbs 4:18 GNT: “The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise, getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come. The road of the wicked, however, is dark as night. They fall, but cannot see what they have stumbled over.” Do you see our Christian walk, how glorious it is and how wonderful it can become? The path in Christ is supposed to get better and better every day, every year and so on, it is our destiny and our right because we are the just; we are those who believe in Jesus Christ and as you can see in the scripture those without Christ, their lives are getting worse and worse but they don’t see why nor do they know why life is not working out for them.
That’s why Romans 8:28 tells that: “We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.” I love this scripture, we can stand on this scripture when things don’t work out the way we want them to, but we can handle that thing to the lord knowing that he has our back because of the life he destined for us, so we never need to worry because of the life he destined for us. That is why God tells us not to worry in Philippians 4:6 because it is a pointless thing to do for a child of God because God already knows our destiny, he destined us for a good life in Christ before time began, so why worry, worry will not do anything but trust in God will move away every obstacles and create your paths for you that take you to a higher level of glory.
So you see, there’s such a great life ahead of you. To prove this further to you have a look at this following scripture. Ephesians 2:10 AMP: “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” I love this scripture because it shows me that I am here on earth for a purpose and for a plan that is not mine but Gods and because God is good, and he is my father, my relationship with him enables me to have a wonderful life. Further to that we are destined to do amazing things, things that some people have never accomplished or for some people things that we can do on an even larger skill.
Finally, he says to you in Jeremiah 29:11 AMP “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” I am not saying something that I have not tried, and am currently working on myself. I have shared enough scripture with you to show that you are destined for an amazing life, your responsibility is your faith in God, it is in believing in his word, his character, it is in trusting God completely. We are not called to be in charge for ourselves but for God to be in charge of our lives, but how can he do it if we don’t give him our lives, our worries, troubles and everything that concerns us. Jesus’ hand is always open for you and me; we just have to choose to give him our hand so he can lead us through this life always on top. That’s why he says to you and me in Matthew 11:28: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.”
So, I ask you again in encouragement who are you going to believe? Your feelings? your mind? What society and other people tell you? Or are you going to believe the creator of the universe who is all powerful, all loving, your father, who owns everything and wants to help you live a victorious life he called you to because you see you are a spirit and God lives in your spirit, that spirit in you does not fail, it always wins which is what the Holy Spirit is showing us in his word and in this blog. I pray that this blog has painted for you the kind of mindset we are supposed to have in Christ. It is a righteousness mentality, one where we see the goodness of God everywhere and in everything. It is a life where we know Gods righteousness is at work in us; no wonder David was so bold in Psalms 17:15 is saying: “As for me, I will continue beholding Your face in righteousness (rightness, justice, and right standing with You); I shall be fully satisfied, when I awake [to find myself] beholding Your form [and having sweet communion with You].” So, I challenge you to look for God’s goodness in your life and develop a winner mentality because that is your calling. It is a calling to a victorious life. A good life. That is our destiny.
I love you Sarah Nyanzi
